As a Community Focused School Cluster Worker for the Treorchy cluster, I support a range of services and activities, during and after school, to help meet the needs of its pupils, their families and the wider community. This includes services such as Adult Education, Family Learning, Sports, Cultural Services (music/theatre), as well as developing essential initiatives like Eco Schools, Healthy Schools and Children’s University. I support individual schools in their own initiatives, co-ordinate projects for the cluster as a whole and link the primary schools with the E3+ programme.

Primary School links with Treorchy Comprehensive School and the E3+ Programme.
- Explore E3+ Transition Club- this provides an opportunity for Year 6 children to participate in activities which take place at Treorchy Comprehensive School outside of normal school hours, such as Theatrical Make-Up, Magic & Circus Skills. In addition to this a holiday club was set up for the children and they were involved in a wide range of activities including football, cricket, dance & cheerleading with coaches from Rising Stars.
- 5x60 Links- as a joint partnership between the Community Focused School Cluster Worker and the 5x60 Officer, an after school club has been established within the cluster primary schools on a 4 week per school basis which offers sporting activities such as football, basketball & badminton.
