On Friday 30th March pupils experienced life on board the Titanic in an open event to commemorate the centenary of the sinking of the famous liner.

The History department hosted a high tea, where pupils could try on costumes from the era and have their photograph taken as if on the Titanic. Other rooms in the department were transformed into a passenger information deck, where pupils selected a character and then followed them through their time on board to discover if their character survived the fated voyage.
Sixth form pupils contributed replica newspapers from the era and sold home-made cakes, whilst the dance department taught pupils how to waltz Edwardian style.  Close to 200 pupils came on-board for lunchtime with a difference.
