Treorchy Comprehensive School

On June the 10th and 11th eighty Year 10 BTEC Science pupils visited a rocky seashore in Newton, Porthcawl. During the day the pupils completed a seashore profile by using clinometers and poles, which were kindly donated by the Geography department. The pupils also used quadrats and other scientific equipment to record the abundance of different creatures and sea-weed on the rocky seashore. Both days were a huge success and the tasks completed have enabled the pupils to complete their Biology BTEC assignment.
