On January 28th the year 10 Dance class were invited to perform at St. David's Hall in Cardiff as part of the Cardiff Schools Dance festival. The school has never been invited to showcase their work before so this was a huge opportunity for the pupils to demonstrate their skills in front of parents, teachers and pupils of Cardiff.
The pupils performed a recent piece of choreography that won them 3rd place at last year’s Eisteddfod held in Builth Wells. The pupils are currently working towards completing their BTEC level 2 qualification and WBQ community challenge where they have been taking their Dance skills into the community and teaching the younger pupils in our primary schools how to perform, choreograph and appreciate their own work. A number of the Year 10 dancers recently performed in the School production of the Wedding singer and will be performing in this year’s National Eisteddfod, the school eisteddfod and Dance back to Broadway which will be on June 25th, 26th and 27th 2019. Don’t forget to buy your tickets early so that you are not disappointed.
